Hello.
My name is Tyvon J. Thomas.
If you haven't already figured by now, I'm a freelance spriter, game director and musician.
I've been spriting for approximately seven years now. I started very young, with little to no actual knowledge on spriting. I did strictly recolors for the first year of spriting before moving on to very light edits. I was inspired to begin spriting by a user on Game Sprite Archives named K-ToF, and I took advice from him for a while before I started doing it all on my own.
I sprited off-and-on for about three years, doing it mainly to kill time. It's only until recently that I began taking a huge interest in spriting for indie game development.
Around 2006, I started getting a legitimate interest in making my own video games, and picked up Game Maker. I have a small amount of knowledge in GML, but have lately slowed down on learning GML in order to improve my sprite work.
I've been an off-and-on musician for about four years. I never really wrote anything complex, it was mostly just strumming around on my guitar and coming up with stuff. I'm not a great guitar player by far; instead, I spend my free time composing drum beats and guitar/bass work via Guitar Pro 5, and messing with production effects with Magix Music Maker 12 Silver.
I came up with the concept for PixelxCore Independent Gaming through an attempt to revive an old board called Pixeltendo. Ever since then, I've been working hard to keep PxC up-and-running and getting excellent developers and quality spritework to show off to the rest of the indie game community.
Most of my time is now spent either administrating PixelxCore IG or freelance spriting for pay. My current goal is to move back to Massachusetts to start a new life and be able to visit some of my other family members.
My prices for freelance spriting heavily varies by size, content, animation quality, color count, and the type of game I'm spriting for. To get the most precise price, contact me and be incredibly in-depth with your proposal.
