WE’RE STILL NOT DEAD.

Just a small update to let you know that this project still isn’t dead. Couple of snags have slowed down our development time– I won’t go into details, but it can be summarized in the following phrase; “We have the most unlucky dev team ever right now.”

However, I have taken advantage of the slowdown to greatly expand upon the game and its areas. I’ve added a couple new ones and have come up with a couple of new enemies that won’t be revealed until we start approaching trailer time! If you’ve checked my deviantART recently, you’ll notice that I uploaded a sketch of some of the other races in the game. Once these are sprited, I’ll update them on the Characters page, which could probably use a revamp right about now…

These coming weeks will most likely determine whether or not we meet our late Q3/early Q4 deadline, so wish us luck! We’re trying our best to deliver onto you guys a fun and exciting experience!

Slowdown/Delay

Hi guys, we’re not dead. The project has just hit a bit of a slowdown recently, due to personal issues arising with members of the dev team.

However, summer is approaching, which should help speed up development time! You should be able to look forward to new updates from us soon.

Fate’s Mirror’s release date is being delayed to Q3 2010. While this delay is unfortunate, it will give us the time we need to catch up with our progress, as well as clean up the engine once it’s fully completed as well, giving you guys the best possible playing experience with Fate’s Mirror.

It should also give us adequate time to add neat little extras and tweaks to the game. We guarantee that you won’t be let down! (:

New Graphics Test in the Screenshots Section

I decided that you guys would be interested in another graphics update, so I’ve compiled a couple of our completed graphics and put them in another mockup in order to make sure all of the graphics work well together.

Progress Update

Hello Fate’s Mirror watchers!

We’re currently hard at work fixing up the kinks in both the PC and iPhone versions of the game. We’ve got a pretty fair amount of progress so far and we should hopefully have some stuff to present to you guys soon.

Progress halted a bit with personal problems rearing their ugly heads, but we’re fighting them as a team so we can catch up on lost time.  So don’t worry about a thing– you’ll see something new soon!

Graphics Update: First Look at the Basic Enemies

Hello everybody. It’s been a good two weeks since our last update, so to ensure you that we’re NOT dead, I’ve updated the Characters page with a few of the basic enemies that you’ll run into in the game quite a few times.

All of them are animated, so hopefully it’ll wet your whistle until we have some more stuff for ya guys.

March – Graphics Month!

Hello, everybody!

About two days ago, we had ourselves our last meeting of that month, and are now moving onto the next month of development– graphics!

This next month will be spent finishing and completing most of the in-game graphics. In order to keep everybody updated, we’ll be posting new material in the Screenshots section of the devblog once a week!

As for the closed beta… we’ve decided to hold back on that for about a month.
When we present to you a stable demo of the game, we want it to be a quality demo! The delay will also allow us to polish a few more features than what we originally planned. :)
I promise you all, it’ll be totally worth it!

Be sure to keep an eye out! This is going to be a very busy month for us.

Planned Closed Beta release — End of the Month

Hey everyone.

Development is still progressing, we’ve almost got the main game engine completed, and the crew is working on graphics as I type this up. Our plan is to have a closed beta demo ready by before the end of the month. Since the month’s almost over, that means you should start keeping your eyes open! ;)

I may have a page update for you guys later today as well. Stay tuned.

New Mockup in the Screenshots Section

Hey everyone.

Development is going great so far. Surprisingly active! We’re working on graphics right now while the main gameplay engine is being worked on in the background. I think we’ll be able to meet our February deadline for the closed beta. :)

I decided to slap together some of the graphics we have compiled so far in an image– just testing to see if they look nice together. I figure, why not let the masses decide that, too? ;) Obviously, it’s nowhere close to a final product, and just a test. Let us know how you feel!
